The second pic is sortta hard to tell what happend at first, but look at the bearing race at the top....
Whats realy amazing, is I drove it around in this condition for who knows how long... It took a while before it all went BANG. There is a spacer, or washer type thing thats also in a few pices, and I have no Idea where it goes or how it broke. Also, this trans made NO NOISES of any kind as I limped it back home. I only had 1,3, and 5 gears, and the shifter was all messed up. Even after playing with the cables to fix the shifter, and running around with 1,3, and 5 a bit. Some pice had to have wedged itself in between the syncro and the gear for 4th. It will not slide over, even if you take a hammer and try to do it the hard way.

Anyway, now when people ask my why I didn't want another isuzu in my car, I can show them. As for the getrag swap, im having a hard time finding trans mounts for a 92 Achieva. I might have the front one on order, but not sure if its the right one yet. All the other parts stores dont' have a listing for a rear trans mount. The good thing is, the stock 95 cav mount will probably work, just have to get the front mount in and see. So now, I just have to wait a little longer to see if this is gonna work or not.

I have a spare getrag I can sell you. I'm not sure about the miles on it, It came off a 1990 beretta GTZ parts car. The odometer stopped at 60,000 miles and I know the car probably had close to 75, 000.

Thanks, but i already have the Achieva trans, and have figured out how to mount it. All thats keeping me from being on the road is getting a clutch master and slave that works, which I think I picked up at the junk yard today. Gotta get my Phantom Grip from manta too..... Hope they send it soon. :bash

How hard is it to install one of those phantom grip inserts? I was thinking about getting one but I didn't know if I could do it myself. I can rebuild motors but I have never been inside a tranny.

trannys are usually best left to the pros, unless you know what you are doing.
