Secret cam swap

I've read up on it quite a bit and am planning on doing it but one thing still has me wondering, what do you do with the valve springs? Do you keep them in the position they are in when you pull the stock 2.4 cam or do you push them down? What do you do?

when you go to pull the cams get the motor to TDC which should put the cam gears with the dowel up, that should put none of the valves fully open (which is where you want it if your going to pull the head also) so you dont have to push down as hard, then put the cam in the same position you took it out with the dowel pin up (should line up with the lifter bores) and set her in there. I would definatelly recomend having some one there to help and have a second set of eyes to recheck your timing before assembly, its real easy to mis time a motor .
