Who is Zppr? I'm a GUY, 36 dad of 3 great kids with a dangerously obsession with Quad engines, and a general engine performance.
What if anything has Zppr done? Well pertaining directly to Quads, I am in the top 5 with a modded LD2 89 Calais.
I raced dirt circle track on and off for 10 years competing in 105 features, winning 12 of them along with 35 heat races, and 2 consi's. I haven't ran a full season of racing since 1997. IN the 10 years there are a few years where I ran only 2-3 times or not at all(01,03,04). I have built engines since I was 17, Hobby stock and IMCA stock cars, Modifieds, and 2 prostock/limited late models.
every car I ever built has won atleast race, including the IMCA Super Nationals with a IMCA Stock car. My father won the 1991 IMCA super Nationals in his modified with an engine I built(he was right there the whole time, but I put it togther, I was 18). The cars I built won approxitmately 18 track championships, 5 Mac Tools IMCA Stock car specials, and 1 IMCA national championship.
I am also proud to have IMCA make rules just due to my cars, including cage location, upper hoop size, minimum weight, and master cyl location.

Some of my current cars 89 Calais, LO 160hp cams, W41 chip,SCX tranny, short shifter. Stock 1992 Achieva SCX, sat for 4 years before I bought, sat for another 2 years after I got it. No I did not raise the cars up, that is factory height.

Dont you just love the switch to water based paints in the early 90's. Dont worry the engine is a W41, cover will get on it sometime .
Dont ya just love the late 80's early 90's interior color choices?

When we first visited Bonnevile about 1990 we decided we needed to build a car. My partner then built the chassis & body and I built the engines and all the controls and stuff to make the car move. At that time I did not have my Dyno yet so I purchased a Olds Calais from GM. This was one of there road race cars so it already had a cage, better brakes, roll bars etc. I then fitted it with a full complement of data logging equipment and used that to initially develope the engines. Later I purchased a Super Flow 901 Dynomometer and swithed my testing to that. Even now there is a limited amount of parts and knowledge on these engines so you can imagine what it was like back then. I am a engineer so I designed a crankshaft (Scat made them for me) using Chevy rods (Carrillo) and then custom made a piston that fit it all together and increased the compression. I had Ron's porting service do $2000 dollars worth of work on the each head. At the time these were the highest flowing heads they had seen, better than Brodix. I converted the engines to soild lifters, dry sumped them and used Electromotive ECMs to control the spark and fuel. Later we put a turbocharged flat head in the Lakester and set another record. I stripped and junked the Olds Calais and we have sold the Lakster to a guy who plans on running it this year.http://f385.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f1358639%5fADF9v9EAAGjgSgyCXQNxBy6 TpLw&pid=1.2&fid=Inbox&inline=1&stationery=1http://f385.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f1358639%5fADF9v9EAAGjgSgyCXQNxBy6 TpLw&pid=1.3&fid=Inbox&inline=1&stationery=1http://f385.mail.yahoo.com/ya/download?mid=1%5f1358639%5fADF9v9EAAGjgSgyCXQNxBy6 TpLw&pid=1.4&fid=Inbox&inline=1&stationery=1
