On the return trip, pack the crank in lotsa bubble wrap and use a wooden box and THEN pack it to your back. Treat it like it's glass.

Congrats on your repair, I'd have someone with all data or mitchell on demand to spit out the specs for you. Or you can see if you can find a GM repair manual (not some cheap haynes manual either! )

Thanks. He hasn't fixed it yet though. He said he wasn't sure if he even could fix it, but I hope so. I dont want to have to look for a crank.
